About NelsonLocated on the West arm of the Kootenay Lake, Nelson is located in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains of southeastern British Columbia. Nelson has been deemed the prettiest small town in Canada. It boasts a laid back attitude where saying hi to strangers in passing is an every day thing.
Nelson is a huge arts community. It has 350 heritage buildings and a completely restored and operating street car. You can take a walk down Baker Street and enjoy many independently and locally owned shops of all kinds. It is the best of all worlds for having such a vast recreational playground coupled with all the comforts of urban amenities. Most importantly for us motorcycle riders, Nelson is a gateway to some of the most spectacular twisted roads to ride. |
AccommodationsA few hotels, some within stumbling distance of the Raid, some a little further.
